Shropshire based wedding Videographer and Cinematographer specialising in the filming of Weddings and promotional films.
Floodgate Films was established by Oliver Norton in 2016 as a creative venture to produce film for a wide criterion of work, whether its weddings, commercial projects, interior and architectural films, fashion, documentary, music videos or independent films, my signature style is infused in all aspects of my work.
As a creative professional, I have a strong understanding of what constitutes great storytelling and composition, all of my work is captured utilising natural light to create a uniquely subtle aesthetic and a high level of immersion. I believe that through editorial technique and sound design I can demonstrate the difference between watching something and experiencing something.
Each film is approached with the knowledge of knowing what the client wants, how to obtain it, what’s trending, and how I can bring a more innovative approach to the industry.

In 2021 I was hired by Sophie Paterson to build, grow & manage a YouTube Channel for her luxury London Interior Design Studio with the aim of showcasing high end luxury Interiors along with design inspiration, tips & advice on how to add luxury into your own home.
Over the course of the following year we were featured as a ‘YouTube Creator On The Rise’ where we garnered an audience of over 100,000 Subscribers and was subsequently awarded the YouTube Silver Creator Award.
To this day I have filmed, directed, edited and produced over 50 video’s accruing over 7 million view’s with multiple paid sponsorship campaigns for brands such as LG, Skillshare & LilySilk.
I’ve been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with and alongside a variety of clients Including Academy Award Winner Kate Winslet, leading London Interior designer Katharine Pooley, Swiss Men’s fashion retailer Bombinate and Pooley Sword: leading Cutlers of military swords, dirks and lances to the British Armed Forces, MOD, Commonwealth & Overseas Defence Forces.
From glens in the Scottish Highlands, to the shores in the Middle East, to the city streets of Tokyo Japan, I’ve been fortunate enough to have captured, directed and edited work from across the world.
